bowen therapy for horses and small animals
Bowen Therapy is a gentle, non-intrusive hands on therapy which stimulates the body’s inner ability to heal itself, bringing about increased energy levels and pain reliefs.
Because the treatment is gentle, it is also highly relaxing and low stress making it a great treatment for animals. It is suitable for all aged animals and during pregnancy.
Bowen Therapy looks for the cause of a problem, not just treating the symptoms to give your animal the quickest way back to good health.
Animals generally respond extremely well to natural therapies as there is no undesirable side effects.

what to expect during a treatment
Every animal is different so time is taken to get some background information such as previous injuries or illness, type of work done, temperament, etc. A physical assessment is then carried out before the treatment commences.
On completion, after care treatment is discussed including any further treatment required.
A treatment will normally take approximately 20 minutes on small animals and 30 to 45 minutes on horses. Two to three treatments, usually at weekly intervals, may be required to achieve lasting relief.

holistic therapy for horse and rider
Equine Bowen Therapy allows the horse to perform it's best for the rider. Likewise, by addressing any muscular stiffness in the rider with Bowen Therapy, the horse will appreciate a balanced weight on it's back. Any correction of a horse's problem may not hold unless the rider is also in complete structural balance.
